Clindamycin phosphate 1.2%, tretinoin 0.025%
Indications/Uses
Acne vulgaris w/ inflammatory lesion, open & closed comedones.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly in affected area once daily at night before sleep.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, etretinate, isotretinoin, or vit A derivatives. Patients who are receiving treatment w/ acitretin, etretinate, oral tretinoin. Patients w/ seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, sunburn. Pregnancy, lactation.
Special Precautions
Discontinue treatment if irritation occurs. Do not apply on cracked skin. Avoid excessive use; concomitant use w/ other topical products in the same area.
Adverse Reactions
Skin dryness, peeling, tightness or burning sensation, redness.
Drug Interactions
Medicated or abrasive soap/cosmetics, cleanser or acne prep which contains peeling agents eg, resorcinol, salicylic acid, sulfur; alcohol-containing topical prep eg, after-shave lotion, astringent, perfumed toiletries, shaving cream/lotion; cosmetics/soap w/ drying effects; hair care products eg, hair dye or remover; photosensitive medicines eg, fluoroquinolone, phenothiazine, sulfonamide, thiazide diuretics.
